Be authentic. Best advice I ever heard, when it comes to making music. Now, I don't have tattoos. Nothing wrong with that. And I wasn't born on the bayou, though it's a great place, love the food. I grew up around Chicago where the blues was everything. If you couldn't play the blues, get out.
The blues seeps into my music. And so does an Asian influence. Asian blues, if there is such a thing. You can hear it in there, especially on some songs. My music videos are made in beautiful Taiwan.
